The journey
Queer World

Was late for orientation this morning because the bus 158 took a super long time to come. Maybe the driver was driving with his little toe? But it was a good late and i would have wished i was even later or didn't turn up at all. The letter clearly stated that it will be from 10a.m to 5p.m but at 3p.m i was comfortably back home.

Guess what exactly happened? Firstly, there was a talk on the new campus. (Oh well, because it's new so you just have to brag about it.) I don't mind being entertained by 3D visuals and animation because of the fact that Woha architects have really done a great job! Yes and thank god Woha won the competition because i seriously feel that Woha is a great architecture firm that are able to come up with good and solid concepts. Moving on, they talk about accessing the school's website, email, student matters, library usuage...etc.

Sitting in the auditorum, my mind began to drift elsewhere and i can't help but to sense this weirdness within me because it's the first time i encounter studying in an environment whereby 50% of the cohort are foreigners. I'm just not used to seeing so many blondies and whites around me.

Anyway, it's been a boring day, occupied by video that broadcast the fashion show by previous graduates. Gosh! it almost puts me to sleep with the right temperature and lighting. When that ended, i was told that the real "orientation" will be next tuesday...by then i'll really get to see who my classmates are.

On my way back, decided to take train instead of bus because i can wait till the cow come home and the bus 158 will still be out of sight. Encountered a funny incident whereby the MRT operator miss the stop! It miss the orchard stop and made passengers alight at newtown instead. Wonder what happens if someone was rushing? So near yet so far!

That's not all! As i took a bus home after the mrt ride, i saw a girl standing by the roadside raising 2 vanguard sheets. The same way you raise it when you wanted attention. Unfortunately the bus went speeding pass her and i miss the words on the vanguard sheet. Before i knew i had already reach my stop. Initially I wanted to walked back and see if the girl needed help but the distance and the hot sun simply puts me off so i decided to head home instead.

What a day! Filled with so many queer incidents!
