Been waiting since last week for my timetable to be posted to my mailbox. But somehow it didn't arrive. Wonder where did that mail went to? It feels crap because i was not only waiting for my timetable but other things like my userid and password which allows me access to the school's website as well. Anyway i manage to call up the admin staff and requested for them to send my timetable through e-mail.
It made my jaw drop when i first saw it. I can't believe that on one particular day, school ends at 10p.m for me. I double check again to make sure my eyes wasn't playing tricks on me. Like how i mistake a.m for p.m? But it clearly states p.m! It's gonna be dooms day man! With that old school building...it juz feels insecure to be in there at that timing. I guess i'll have to find a way to survive through it.
Another thing i find it funny about the timetable is how they actually label "free slots" as independent study and research, competitions and industry project. They could have just leave it blank instead.
2 good things to smile about are...class starts at 9a.m! Thank God there's no need for me to experience any 8a.m class. The venue of school is not very near my house and 9a.m is quite a good time for me but i guess i haf to wake up slightly earlier than before because the journey to school now is a little bit further. The nxt good news for me is the one day off policy! Between going home early and not going to school at all, i would opt for not going to school at all. 1 day less traumatised by the building~
Anyway, before school starts i hope to finish reading this book that i borrowed off the shelves of the national library. Entitled "Thinking creatively. New ways to unlock your visual imagination" by Robin Landa. It's pretty interesting...and to clarify a little, design books are not solely on graphics. This book for an example teaches one the techniques on idea generation. Basically there are 2 categories of designer, one that design pretty and the other that design smart. The one that design smart takes a tougher route but the final outcome gives the audience a big "wow". Whereas the one that design pretty, might impress you at its first glance but doesn't contain any substance in it. A cool book! Just hope i'm able to find time to read it.
